We need annual student help dollars to support the publication of the ESL Newsletter - The Parrot. The students will write, edit, lay out, and produce The Parrot (5-6 editions per semester). The students will also distribute The Parrot across the ARC campus and centers.
Justification Amendment
The Parrot Newsletter has become a source of pride for our students. Imagine having your work published and distributed around campus, certainly and incentive for our limited English speakers to do their best work. Professor Bracco has worked out a template of sorts over the last several years, greatly simplifying the process of getting the Parrot out; however, the number of hours needed to produce the 10-12 editions per year still averages approximately 20 hours per week.
